There are three Aeration Basins,
two with a capacity of 150,000 gal/day and one with 300,000 gal/day.

The purpose of these basins is to
biologically break the
sewage.

For microorganisms to perform
their functions they must have a constant rate of "food"
(sewage) input, plus oxygen. This must also happen at a reasonable
temperature and correct acid/base (pH) balance.

Oxygen is supplied from air by
mechanical aeration (stirring)
devices

The output of Aeration Basins
flows into
clarifiers.
